Content page shot

I decided to put this above the music chart because it relates to singer. She’s wearing a white top to show her innocents and sweetness. Her bracelet is pink to match my theme and her nails are blue. I used the a prop to relate to the top charts. I used a mid shot because it showed her in action as if she performing to a audience. It looks like she been caught in action so she look soft and natural. Shes also smiling again relating to my audience bubbly nature.

I made her nails brighter by changing the exposure to match the bright blue I also made sure she had a clear face by using the healing tool and spot tool and enhanced her makeup by using the burn tool. I also liquefied her eyebrow to be neat. I also enhanced the image as a whole to give her a healthy glow this will attract my audience attention because it becomes more bold and noticeable. I used the patch tool to make her skin tone look even.

Contents Page Reseach/Deconstruction

I've marked out where I have gotten my inspiration from and how I've made my content page. I looked at 'We Heart Pop' magazine as it was a typical pop magazine. It helped me come up with ideas and how to structure my content page in a presentable way. I have also looked at Q magazine more so on the structure of it. It’s neat and tidy, easy to read. from my feedback on when i as planning my content page I was told that they liked the boxes and liked the simple layout which is why I researched what magazines has a good layout. to keep my pop genre theme I made sure that it looked girly and slightly cluttered but also tidy. I decided to use pink and the bright blue to keep to my colour scheme. Q magazine inspired me to make the page numbers into speech bubble. I thought I could change it into something more suitable for my magazine adding extra detail.

"Hot Summer Look"

In my pop magazine I decided to include a "Hot Summer Look" section on my front cover, the reason being is because Pop magazines sometimes contain a fashion section. Everything in the circle are pictures I have taken myself. I have also brighten them through Photoshop by using the exposure. I believe this works for my magazine as it attract my target audience of young girls who are into fashion as well as music.

Final Shots taken/Mise-en-scene

I chose a centered mid-shot because it is best suited for my genre. The shot is at eye level, this is following the conventions of my genre. I also believe it shows the innocent, it doesn’t make her over-powering and it doesn’t make her appear weak I believe it makes her look neutral and appealing to look at. I think having a centered shot is effect because it attracts my target audience because she facing straight on. Her face is slightly tilted to portray her innocents and sweetness I also took into consideration that my magazine is aimed at 13-16 year old I think it’s the appropriate pose to have.It also engages the reader to look at the magazine.

I chose light pastel colours for the mise-en-scene to reflect my masthead. The kimono has blue and pink reflecting on my colour scheme. I chose a polka dot skirt to keep to the pop nature of things. I also think the mise-en-scene relates to my target audience it’s something they could picture themselves in which could influence them to by the magazine. Her make-up is natural because she is seen as a pure honest girl. Her lips are pink to add that pop to her face. It makes her stand out more.  It also encourages the younger audience to believe that make-up isn’t necessary and so by having Melody Lock image natural I’m suiting my target audience. The light is bright to make her appear good, sweet and sinless.
